WHO WE ARE

Hard work and a reputation for treating people honestly continue to be the building blocks of what has made B & B Hydraulics successful.

When Massey Ferguson dissolved the Combine Division of their company in 1988, this included the positions held by Alex Macleod and Mo Penny. With both having extensive backgrounds in hydraulics, they seized the opportunity to develop their own company known as B & B Hydraulics.

Incorporating in January 1989, Alex and Mo were the corporate officers of B & B Hydraulics (and the only 2 employees) located in a small 2000 sq. ft. building in Hutchinson, KS. It didn't take long before they were forced to move to a larger and more suitable location due to the exceeding expectations of the company. This new location is also the present location of B & B Hydraulics, which is 2400 Line Rd., Hutchinson, KS.

In 1997, Dennis Rayl joined the company and became an Owner/Stockholder. 10 years later, and with 19 years invested in the company, the President and founding partner of B & B Hydraulics, Alex Macleod, retired from his role in the company. In 2015, Bill Speakman, a twenty year employee, became an Owner/Stockholder and was promoted to General Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of B&B Hydraulics, Inc.

B & B Hydraulics became a distributor for SKF-Lincoln Lubricating Systems in 2009. The distribution area includes Kansas, Nebraska, Southwest Iowa and Western Missouri. SKF-Lincoln Systems provides automated lubrication for agricultural, industrial, construction and over-the-road systems and equipment. With the growth of distribution needs, a SKF-Lincoln Engineered facility was established in 2011 located in Overland Park, KS.

In October of 2013, B & B Hydraulics acquired Auto Electric, a company that repairs and rebuilds starters, generators, magnetos, alternators and speedometers. This company was relocated to 2500 Line Rd. in Hutchinson, KS.

For over 28 years, B & B Hydraulics has expanded its territory and increased its employment to over 30 employees. With 3 divisions in operation (B & B Hydraulics, B & B Engineered Lubrication Systems, and B & B Auto Electric), the core business is still hydraulics. Auto Electric and Lincoln Engineered Systems has provided additional services to fit customers' needs.
